I went to see Michelle when I was eight months pregnant with my little girl. I had been attending hypnobirthing classes and was planning a water birth. My midwife had recommended visiting an osteopath to check my pelvic alignment and to recommend  some exercises to relieve the aches and pains of pregnancy. My husband recommended The Hertford Osteopath having seen her for a back problem.

This was my fist time seeing an osteopath. Michelle was immediately welcoming at the first consultation. She asked questions about my health and my pregnancy before beginning treatment. She was very knowledgable and able to answer all the questions I had. The treatment room itself was comfortable and warm. I left with a number of helpful exercises to practice at home. I would definitely recommend visiting The Hertford Osteopath if you are pregnant. I went on to have a beautiful water birth in October 2017.

Michelle really helped me out when I was in my second trimester and developed a few back issues which meant I could barely walk. She was brilliant at evaluating my whole body and finding the problems as the source of the pain isn’t always obvious. But she really took her time ensuring she worked on all the right areas and doing so in a way that was comfortable whilst pregnant. I was up and about moving in no time. Really grateful to her for fixing me up and allowing me a mobile rest of pregnancy.

Huge thanks to Michelle for her excellent support in managing the painful Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction I experienced late in pregnancy.

As I was aiming for a natural birth, I was worried that the physical restriction caused by the condition would interfere with my labour. Thankfully, Michelle managed to assess the problem quickly and put in place a sound management plan that resulted in me being almost pain free in a few weeks, just in time for my due date. I found her to be extremely professional and competent but also warm and caring.

After a swift and uncomplicated delivery (no doubt partly due to the excellent osteopathic care I received from Michelle), I have recovered quickly and now have absolutely no pelvic pain 4 weeks after giving birth!

Again, massive thanks to Michelle for contributing to my positive birth experience, keep up the good work! I would recommend her to any ladies suffering from tedious pregnancy aches and pains!

I had never been to an osteopath before and Michelle made me feel relaxed and at ease. She was very professional and thorough throughout my treatment giving me some exercises which are easy to repeat throughout the day. I am sure I will be back in the future.

I joined Michelle following a long term back and hip injury. The root of the problem was soon identified and I was given a set of clearly defined and well explained exercises. The clinic sessions were very beneficial with improvements noticeable following each appointment.

I was helped to understand the root cause of my injury in very simple terms. This understanding made the exercises make sense.

I also appreciated the alternative treatments (sports massage) suggested by Michelle to supplement the osteopathy sessions. I found this approach refreshing and believe it helped speed up my recovery.

I have been injury free for over 8 months and training for my first 1/2 marathon. I still complete the stretching exercises prescribed by Michelle and believe that these have helped prevent a re-occurrence of what was a long term injury.

Michelle listened very carefully to my concerns, took a detailed case history and then proceeded to assess my back, postural alignments, legs and I am sure much more.  Michelle explains what she is doing throughout the process.  The treatment was excellent and effective.  Michelle ensured that I could do the exercises (simple ones) to help maintain the good work she had done.

Having had a healthy pregnancy and been very active regularly exercising throughout, I found it very painful and frustrating to suddenly – a couple months before the end – get pain in the lower back/upper leg which the midwfie diagnosed as sciatica relating to the pregnancy.  I went to Michelle in a lot of pain and hobbling with a walking stick.  Michelle was excellent – after a couple of sessions the pain had improved enormously and before the end of my pregnancy I was back swimming and without the walking stick.  I can highly recommend her, obviously very knowledgeable as an osteopath but also very professional, friendly and down to earth so put me at ease.
